This past washday I asked my daughter how she wanted her hair. She proceeded to start telling me about some braids and something about going down the side. I could not for the life of me figure out what she was talking about. But it gave me an idea that I thought would be super stylish. We ended up doing a cute and simple braided braid hairstyle.
Cute and Simple Braided Braid Hairstyle
When you look at this style you may be thinking… that looks really simple. That’s because it is. All you need to do it is a rat tail comb, and 1-4 hair ties. The skills you need are parting, and (French or Dutch) braiding. That’s it.

- Divide hair into 3 diagonal (or not if you don’t want to) sections with a metal rat tail comb. We did different sized sections for more visual interest.
- French or Dutch Braid each section.
- Take those 3 sections and braid them together and secure with an ouchless hair tie.
THAT’S IT! Done and it looks like a more stylish version of Elsa’s braid that kids love. Plus because it is divided into more sections instead of just putting it all into 1 big braid, the hair will stay neater, and less knotty longer. These pictures are Day 3 of this hairstyle. PLUS she forgot to put her satin sleep bonnet on the one night so… yeah. It’s not the neatest in these pics but it is still super cute! In the middle of the week I will probably refresh and re-do the braids.
What are your thoughts on this simple and cute braided braid hairstyle? Will you try it out? If you do I would love to see pics!
